“I Learned This Today” (“the App”) is developed and operated by Steven Askew (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
We take your privacy seriously. This App is designed to be simple and to respect your privacy as much as possible.
1. Information we do not collect
When you use the App, we do not:
- create a user account for you
- ask you to sign in
- collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other contact details
- track your location
- access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera
- store any of your personal data on our own servers
The App simply downloads article content from our website and displays it on your device.
2. Data stored on your device
The App may store small pieces of data only on your device, for example:
- your current article selection
- your chosen text size or reading settings
This information never leaves your device and is not sent to us.
3. In-app purchases and payments
The App offers optional in-app purchases (for example, buying a virtual “coffee” to support the developer).
All payments are processed securely by:
- Apple (for iOS devices), and/or
- Google (for Android devices), and
- our in-app purchase provider, RevenueCat.
We do not receive your full payment details (such as your credit card number). We may see anonymous purchase records (for example, that a purchase happened and what product was bought), but these records are not linked to your personal identity by us.
For more information, please refer to the privacy policies of:
- Apple: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
- Google: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- RevenueCat: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
4. Analytics and tracking
The App itself does not include third-party advertising or marketing trackers.
The app stores (Apple App Store / Google Play) may collect anonymous usage statistics to help them run their services. This is controlled by Apple or Google, not by us.
5. Children’s privacy
The App is not specifically targeted at children, but it is suitable for general audiences.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the App does not create accounts or collect personal data, we have no way to identify individual users, including children.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Significant changes may also be highlighted within the App or on our website.
7. Contact us
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or the App, you can contact us through out contact page.
